Hydex® 4101

PBT-Polybuthylene Terephthalate

Hydex® 4101 is manufactured from Polybuthylene Terephthalate polyester (PBT-P) resin. It is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic. Hydex® 4101 offers excellent mechanical properties combined with good chemical resistance. PBT-P has a good impact resistance and toughness, low coefficient of friction and wear, and does not need lubrication. It also is resistant to chemicals, chlorine, water, and steam. It is available in FDA-approved white and non-FDA black colors.

Hydex® 4101L is an enhanced grade that is internally-lubricated with TFE fillers which are designed for use in higher wear resistance, PV range and lower coefficient of friction applications.

Both Hydex® 4101 and 4101L are approved for direct food contact (FDA, USDA, and 3A Dairy compliant).
