DuPont™ Kalrez® Authorized Distributor

Aerospace Seals

Aerospace

Kalrez® parts for the military, commercial, and general aviation are used as oil seals in gas turbine engines and air delivery systems.  Kalrez® parts withstand aggressive aerospace fluids, including jet fuels, engine lubrication oils, hydraulic fluids, rocket propellants, and oxidizers, as well as extreme temperatures.

Kalrez® AeroSeal™ 7777 and 7797 are the most recent Kalrez® products with outstanding thermal stability 325°C (617°F) and excellent compression set resistance.  Both products exhibit excellent HTS (High Thermo-oxidative Stability) resistance, with the 7777 meeting the requirements of AMS 7257C.

Food and Pharmaceutical Seals

Food and Pharmaceuticals

In pharmaceutical and food processing sealing applications where cleanliness is critical, PTFE has been the material of choice until now.  Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts offer FDA compliant seals that have true elastomeric properties and sealing capabilities.

DuPont™ Kalrez® parts are unique in that we are the only supplier that manufactures the polymer and the finished part.  M&P provides full traceability, an attribute that is highly desirable for your critical applications. We also offer parts in standard O-rings and custom seals.

Oil and Gas Seals

Oil and Gas

Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts stand up to severe down-hole conditions, from high pressures and temperatures, to aggressive sour gas and corrosive fluids.  Down-hole conditions can deteriorate elastomers rapidly. Even under extreme conditions of pressure, heat, and man-made chemicals, Kalrez® oil and gas seals have held up and remained virtually unchanged.

In rigorous third-party testing for rapid gas decompression (RGD) resistance, Kalrez® 0090 O-rings, received the best possible rating of 0000 per the NORSOK M-710 Rev 2 standard.

Chemical Processing Seals

Chemical Processing

For long-term service, Kalrez® chemical resistant seals are a reliable, cost-effective sealing solution.  In aggressive chemical or thermally challenging environments, Kalrez® parts have been reducing downtime and extending the mean time between replacements (MTBR).

In pumps, valves, reactors, flange joints, and other equipment, Kalrez® parts – whether they are O-rings, custom shapes, or valve stem packing systems – are proving their value year-in and year-out.

Photovoltaic Seals

Photovoltaic

As the demand for photovoltaic (PV) systems continue to rise, manufacturers must find ways to increase uptime and improve output.  Unplanned maintenance due to incompatible sealing materials can cause downtime and interfere with production schedules.

Selecting the appropriate sealing material can help improve performance and lower cost of ownership in both bulk crystalline silicon and thin film photovoltaic processes.  Kalrez® parts retain their elastomeric properties at temperatures as high as 325°C and resist over 1800 chemicals including alkalis, acids, solvents, O2, and fluorine-based plasma.

The latest product for PV, Zalak® 5300 high performance seals, joins the Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer product line as a cost-effective alternative in select applications where traditional sealing materials are insufficient. It bridges the performance gap between standard fluoroelastomers (FKM) and perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) parts.  Zalak® 5300 parts have been specially formulated for use in the different photovoltaic manufacturing processes.

DuPont™ Kalrez® parts are unique in that we are the only supplier that manufactures both the polymer and finished part.  M&P provides full traceability, an attribute that is highly desirable for your critical applications.  We also offer parts in standard O-rings and custom seals.

Semiconductor Processing Seals

Semiconductor

Since purity is critical to high semiconductor wafer yield, reducing semiconductor seal contamination from particulates, outgassing and extractables is a major goal of semiconductor fabricators.  By selecting the Kalrez® part that is best suited to a specific application, processors can improve semiconductor seal performance in all wafer-fabricating operations, including thermal, deposition, etching, ashing/stripping, and wet chemical processes.
