Neoprene® polychloroprene is an extremely versatile synthetic rubber originally developed as an oil-resistant substitute for natural rubber. Neoprene is noted for a unique combination of properties, including resistance to degredation from sun, ozone, and weather, good perofrmance in contact with oils and chemicals, and usefulness over a wide temperature range. Other useful properties include outstanding physical toughness, more effective resistance to burning than hydrocoarbon brubbers, and resistance to damage caused by flexing and twisting.
