Typical Properties of Style 40 Durometer High-Grade Neoprene

Description: 40 durometer high-grade neoprene designed for use in gasketing applications that require a solid neoprene material with high tensile strength. 40 durometer high-grade neoprene offers good resistance to oil and petroleum base solvents and excellent resistance to dilute acids. With a service temperature of -30°F to +200°F, 40 durometer high-grade neoprene provides resilience in both cold and hot temperatures. Known by the chemical name chloroprene, 40 durometer high-grade neoprene is made from 100% neoprene and is suited for rigorous applications while giving users a gasketing material with good weathering and ozone resistance. 40 durometer high-grade neoprene is formulated to meet the ASTM D2000 M1BC 407 specification.

M&P Sealing’s high-grade neoprene is available in a wide range of durometers, ranging from as soft as 30 Durometer to as hard as 90 Durometer with standard durometers in between. 40 durometer high-grade neoprene is available in the color black and can be manufactured in a wide range of standard thicknesses, ranging from as thin a 1/64″ to as thick as 1/4″, with custom thicknesses available upon request. 40 durometer high-grade neoprene has a smooth finish and can be converted into rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4 wide up to 48” in width. M&P Sealing has the ability to fabricate 40 durometer high-grade neoprene by die-cutting or waterjet cutting to meet your design and production requirements.
