Typical Properties of 60 Durometer High Strength Grade Silicone

Description: 60 durometer high strength silicone gasket material designed for use in gaskets applications where demanding physical properties need to be met. A premium grade silicone, 60 durometer high strength silicone offers a high tensile strength and very good tear resistance. 60 durometer high strength silicone provides users with an extremely low and high-temperature range, with a service temperature of -94°F to +450°F.

The material takes a low compression set and offers excellent UV and ozone resistance. 60 durometer high strength silicone is manufactured with FDA approved ingredients listed in CFR 117.2600, an FDA regulation which involves rubber articles intended for repeated use in contact with food. In addition to being a fungus resistant material, 60 durometer high strength silicone is formulated to meet the physical requirements of ASTM D2000 and ZZ-R-765 Class 3B grade 60 (with exception to flex test).

M&P Sealing’s high strength grade silicone gasket material is available in a wide range of durometers, ranging from as soft as 30 Durometer to as hard as 80 Durometer with standard durometers in between. 60 durometer high strength silicone can be produced in rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4″ wide, up to 36″ in width. M&P Sealing can supply 60 durometer high strength silicone without adhesive or with either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. 60 durometer high strength silicone can be manufactured to a wide range of standard and custom thicknesses.

M&P Sealing has the capacity to fabricate 60 durometer high strength silicone by die-cutting or waterjet cutting to meet your prototype and production requirements.
