Typical Properties of 70 Durometer Fluorosilicone

Description: 70 durometer fluorosilicone gasket material is designed to be utilized in gasket applications where general purpose silicone would degrade by harsh fluids or chemicals. 70 durometer fluorosilicone will perform in extreme low and high temperature, with a service temperature of -80°F to +450°F and has the capability to perform at +500°F on an intermittent basis. Consider using 70 durometer fluorosilicone gasket material in applications where the gasket requires silicone, but where extreme conditions exist. Style 70 durometer fluorosilicone is naturally UV and ozone resistant and offers extreme resistance to fuels and solvents. 70 durometer fluorosilicone is fungus resistant and takes a low compression set. 70 durometer fluorosilicone is formulated to meet Mil-R-25988 Type 2, Class 1, Grade 70 specification.

M&P Sealing’s fluorosilicone gasket material is available in a wide range of durometers, ranging from as soft as 30 Durometer to as hard as 70 Durometer with standard durometers in between. 70 durometer fluorosilicone can be converted into rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4″ wide, up to 36″ in width. M&P Sealing can produce 70 durometer fluorosilicone without adhesive or choose from either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. 70 durometer fluorosilicone can be manufactured to standard and custom thicknesses. Send in a drawing, and let M&P Sealing die-cut or waterjet cut 70 durometer fluorosilicone to meet your exact prototype and production requirements.
