M&P is proud to be an authorized distributor of Inertex® products.  They are the tightest sealing gasket materials tested among 27 of the most popular, expanded PTFE-based gasket products on the market.  Inertex has become the one material to provide the most complete, leak-free, and dependable sealing system available to control fugitive flange emissions in

Inertex® RRTC Railroad Tank Car Gaskets are engineered to solve problems related to the transportation of aggressive chemicals.

RRTC gaskets come in two designs. The first is the type “N” design, which is a gasket nozzle design that fits in most 18″ and 20″ nozzles. The second is the type “DL” design, which is a Gasket Dome Lid Design.  It stays in place inside the tank car dome groove to lessen handling and positioning problems.

Product Benefits:

  • Expanded PTFE facings wrapped around a 316ss corrugated insert
  • Expanded PTFE assures ease of opening dome and easy removal of gaskets
  • Resists cutting; won’t crack, harden, or distort like rubber gaskets
  • The corrugated insert provides dynamic response to compensate for rail car vibration
  • Mechanically secure to manway; will not fall into the rail car.

The Inertex® family of gaskets and sealing products are produced by proprietary processes protected by both U.S. and world patents.
